Volunteer Training/Social Sessions Begin April 2

Phoenix FM Training Sessions

Phoenix FM will launch the first in a series of monthly training evenings for
volunteers on Tuesday, April 2 at 6pm, with a 'masterclass' in Audio Recording. Each class will take approximately 40 minutes to an hour (maximum!).

The training sessions will cover a variety of different topics, but the first will focus on recording audio outdoors on portable recorders called Marantz.

The training evening is a great opportunity for the volunteer members of Phoenix FM to practice and learn new skills as well as being a fantastic chance to get together for a chat and a cup of tea afterwards.

The training evenings are going to be hosted by a combination of volunteer and special guest speakers. The first evening, on the April 2, will be hosted by Phoenix FM's own Alan Maxwell.

The first evening will be held in the Phoenix FM portacabin and starts at 6pm sharp! You can confirm your attendance by emailing info(at)phoenixfm.ie or calling the station on 01 822 7222.

A new series of programmes starts Saturday 12th of June on 92.5 Phoenix FM.

The city is probably the last place you would expect to see an abundance of wildlife, but if you look closer… Aileen Foley in her series of programmes “Nature in the City” will discover different species of bat living in Dublin 15, reveal the intriguing world of beekeeping, explore allotments and much more!

“I really enjoyed making the programme, as I got to meet so many interesting people along the way and got to find out so many new things about where I live”, - says producer and presenter of the programme Aileen Foley.

Supported by the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland under the Sound and Vision Scheme, the “Nature in the City” is produced to the highest standards of programme making.

“Nature in the City” goes on air on Saturday 12th of June at 5:30pm on 92.5 Phoenix FM (repeats on Sundays 7:30 pm).
