Mission
Our Mission is:
To develop Phoenix FM to its full potential as a vibrant community radio station whose management and programming is based on community access and participation, and which reflects the special interests and needs of the listenership of the Dublin 15 community that the station is licensed to serve.
Among key objectives of Phoenix FM are:
- To operate, manage, and run a not-for-profit community radio station whose management and programming is based on community access and participation. Programmes reflect the special interests and needs of the listenership of the Dublin 15 Community that it is licensed to serve, and are in line with the community ethos of the BCI licence and the AMARC charter
- To provide education and training to individuals, geographic communities, and communities of interest in order to facilitate a community radio service as a medium for community development as well as a medium for community expression.
- To promote inclusion
- To develop personal and professional skills so as to strengthen capacity as community activists and volunteer broadcasters
- To link community broadcasting, planning, production skills and training with community development needs and activities
