Brian’s Farewell Table Quiz!

On the 19th of Friday, Phoenix FM organized a Table Quiz fundraiser, aiming to raise funds for the station. The event took place at the Verona Sports Club in Coolmine, which allowed us access to its facilities.

This gathering served a dual purpose, acting as both a fundraising initiative and a farewell party for Brian Greene, who had recently resigned from his position as the manager of Phoenix FM and is moving on into community television.

The Table Quiz turned out to be a resounding success, attracting a notable attendance with 14 tables booked for the quiz. The music based questions posed during the event were particularly challenging. The quiz was a major success, marked by several close calls that led the quiz into tiebreaker questions. Despite the stiff competition, Sean, Keith, Joe, and Emma managed to display their expertise and skill, ultimately securing victory in this year’s Table Quiz.

As the station bids farewell to Brian Greene, the Table Quiz stands as a memorable celebration, highlighting not only the accomplishments of the evening but also the positive spirit and unity within the Phoenix FM community. The funds raised will undoubtedly contribute to the station’s ongoing operations, ensuring that it continues to be a vibrant and essential part of the local community.
